MY STORY

WHO I AM

As a part of the Navajo and Zuni tribes I was raised on recognizing and respecting the beauty of nature. There is no question that this earth is a breathtaking example of the Great Creator's handywork and I often find myself in awe of this beautiful home created for our spirits to dwell in.

My father, who is an artist himself, instilled in me a passion for self-expression through the creative arts. As a young child I was often the subject of my father's art projects and my fruit has not fallen far from my father's tree.

My youth was spent attempting to discover who I was through various creative outlets, but it wasn't until I fully dug my roots into my native heritage that I truly found myself in jewelry making. My passion is sharing my heritage with curious minds, honoring my ancestors and those who paved the way before me, and giving thanks to my Heavenly Father above who gave me the ability to see the beauty in everyone and everything.

THE BRAND

I am fortunate enough that my parents blessed me with such a unique name: Tyme. Named after "time & space" it was only expected that I had to incorporate my name into my brand. In the process of creating my brand I had numerous business names that played on the "time" pun but none seemed to leave an imprint on my spirit. That was, until my father reminded me that I am the brand. He pointed out that my name is eccentric and that I am remembered already just by the individuality of it. So that's when "Tyme Artist" was born.
